Yeah, I know what you mean. Some of them are true works of art. Which is what inspired me. That and looking at my models as they sit, forlorn on the bookcase... It was the latter more than anything else

Hello, Doug:

One of my [flung-too-far, spread-too-thin] interests
has long been military miniatures. The talents of
many diorama and vignette builders are little short of
amazing, not the least in story-telling. Sadly, in my
case, my output is so low that I seldom finish a
project, let alone enough models to populate a
diorama! I could, I suppose, do a 1:1 scale vignette
called, "Storage boxes filled with unbuilt kits."
