Always reminds me of a story; this one guy would make a statement followed by "It's a fact!". When asked where he got his facts from his reply was: "I make them up, that way I know that they are true". I think I will use this approach to my colouring from now on!

and Diego induced insanity.

AFAIC your technique is as valid as any other - it's at least comforting to 
have *some* basis to work with, especially in a time when judges and other 
modellers all want to know what your sources are.
