Well, if one looks at the gallery one finds an ambulance, armored vehicles... Hmmm, has any-one ever modeled the armoured cars that Commander Charles Samson used near Dunkirk? I believe that these include a bus and a few Rolls Royces.

to aircraft and related subjects, I just re-read the FAQ info which
states that ships are fair game, so I have been wrong. So until the
"mission statement" changes, it appears that nobody even has to ask
if subjects other than aircraft are welcome here.

I have also developed a major interest in the ships of the
era. Indeed my recent purchases are almost all nautical. State of
the hobby seems to be a increasing availability of high quality resin
kits in 1/700. There are helpful and courteous ship modelers out
there just like the a/c people on this list. There are two sites
which I visit almost daily:

Steel Navy http://www.steelnavy.com/index.htm

Model Warships http://www.modelwarships.com/index1.html
This site also has multiple forums, including OT threads.

Many reviews of kits & accessories, reference information and links
to many other sites. LOTS of information out there. Enjoy!
