That is a brilliant Idea, something I never thought about. I wonder what other members view might be? When painting the wing surfaces, should we first of all paint brown where the ribs would be, then paint over it as surely one would expect it to be darker at the rib positions due to the wood being in contact with the fabric? Or would the rib tapes hide this effect? And if you already do use this method, what colour do you use for the rib positions?
