[WWI] "hostage" feedback

Recap:
I agree that doing things like this to get around e-Bay fees is poor
business in my book. But that's my PERSONAL bias...there's nothing illegal
or, necessarily, immoral about it. Any business looks for ways to minimize
their costs of doing business--it's prudent. Also note that e-Bay hasn't
done anything about it yet. You can BET they know it's going on, but it's a
hard one to write blanket policy on so they're kind of stuck with it for
now.
Secondly...if they said 12GBP for "postage" you're right--they're dead in
the wrong. But IF, as I'm betting, they said 12GBP for shipping and handling
THEY'VE GOTTEN 10GBP FOR HANDLING. They didn't lie, they didn't even shade
the truth. You assumed a level of shipping service, packaging, etc. Your
fault for assuming. Simple as that.
Agreed--it sucks that you have to check on little things if they aren't
specified. Good sellers will specify in their listing the level of post
service ("Priority", etc) plenty conspicuously if that's what they use as
their default method. If I don't see it specified I assume it's first class
or media (in the case of printed matter) absent asking for clarification.
Finally, rather than stooping to negative feedback that is wrong...just
don't make the deal. Simple really. Though as someone mentioned, hurts not a
whit to give the appropriate "good" feedback with a comment to the effect
"charges 12GBP for 2GBP post", after all the facts are the facts.

Liberties of the truth? What about telling people that the postage is £12,
when it in reality is £2? That isn´t taking liberties with the truth? And
all because you don´t want to pay ebay for their service?
