No Scott, he didn't - that's just the point. He "contracted" for £12 worth
of post and packing and got 2 quid's worth. There is a certain amount of
trust involved in this kind of transaction. If I order something from Hong
Kong I have to trust that the seller is going to give me a fair price for
shipping because I have no idea what shipping charges are from Hong Kong. If
I want the item badly enough then I'll pay the shipping charges even if they
seem expensive to me and I hope when the item arrives that the charges
stated were justified. If the seller has charged me 600% more than the
actual cost then I've been ripped off.
I'm sorry but I really don't understand why you're taking the side of the
seller in this instance. Whether he stated the charges up front or not is
immaterial. He grossly overcharged and underpacked and it's this kind of
person that ruins what should be an easy & pleasant transaction.
