He sure pours a bit of spirits in it... ;-)
Another modeler trick with milk was used by Alberto Casirati to simulate the
difference in sheen for fabric and plywood areas on his Nieuport 28: he
matt-varnished the model but later he added whole milk thinned with water
(dunno the proportions) to the front of the fuselage to achieve a deeper
colour intensity in those areas made of aluminium or plywood in the front of
the fuselage.
