But silver, depending on the level of oxidation, can range from off white to
chrome.  So the finish can vary likewise.  However most aluminum/dope
finishes I've delt with are soft metallic gra(e)y

A question on the color of silver. How did the silver paint weather the
elements? Did it perhaps dull over time to look more like a gray? Anybody
know?
