[WWI] vaguely realted to flying things

"Slide Rules"
Another nostalgia hit!
I still have my Versa log log slide rule, complete with leather holster. It
cost $25 back in 1956. That is a very, very high price in terms of the 1956
cost of living. All my text books for engineering school cost a total of $25
a semester back then.
The slide rule was replaced by the pocket size electronic calculator back in
the 1970's and that cost $250 back then. What's the price today, $25?
I may talk about sweet nostalgia but I wouldn't go back to the old
technology for love nor money!
Stephen
