[WWI] A/G Decals, what now?

Oh! Forgot to mention: Out of respect and honest intentions, I do not recommend scanning other companies/peoples lozenge sheets, most Microsoft systems have basic hex and lozenge patterns available (Windows XP refers to lozenge as "stained glass").

This is especially helpful for those darn (but lovely) Tarnstoff hex patterns. Works great! IMHO

Dec. 31st of '06 has come and gone, marking the demise of A/G. We
speculated quite a bit on what would happen to Dr. Merrill's research, and
whatever stock he and his partners had left on hand. If memory serves:

- We would see a lot of decal sets on ebay. Didn't happen. As a matter of
fact, of the few sets I have seen, 90% of them, or better, were being sold
by (former?) List member Barry Stettler (sp?) along with what looked like
every WWI book he ever owned, etc.

- Someone would come along and by the artwork, decals, etc. and keep it
going. Didn't happen, and most likely because it was not a money-making
enterprise as such. Dr. Merrill did what he did, not to pay the mortgage,
(as I recall, he was a paleo-biologist by trade) but out of a passion for
the subject.

So, aside from the four and five color lozenge marketed by Eagle
Strike, and a few others, what are we to do when it comes to lozenge for
Gothas, Zeppelin Staakens, A.E.G. types, etc.? I remember, and still have
an old FSM article on making a pattern to form a "mask" of sorts to paint
lozenge, maybe some manufacturer will come along with computer/laser cut
masks? There is a company in Eastern Europe that is doing this for a/c
markings in multiple scales. Maybe Eduard could get on the bandwagon and
expand their line of canopy and wheel masks with these. You could get them
in a limited edition along with a yellow thong. ;)
     What say you listers?
