Diego,
Some of us are shaped more like sausages.
I agree with you about finding things to use in the "other" world out there.
Wooden coffee stirrers are one very good example.
Another are certain shaped swizzle sticks on finds at bars and saloons for 
mixed drinks.  If you need enough of them you can ask the manager for the 
name of his supplier and buy them in bulk, as I have done.
Shopping centers are filled with materials and items that can be adapted to 
the hobby. People just have to have an open mind and look at the item for 
how they can use or adapt it in the hobby, not for its original purpose.
