Reference this "Ballooning" in scale..... OK lets sand down the 
undersurface, sand off ALL sag in the fabric on ALL 1/48th kits,(upper and 
under wings), ALL PANEL lines, ALL Fuel fillers etc. that stand proud or are 
recessed. Seems to me that the DML kits are fairly reasonable  when one 
considers that "IN SCALE" almost nothing would be noticable. This is the way 
kit manufacturers and many scratch builders show artistic license allowing 
the ribbed look to show! JMHO,
