What is the method. Will you be opening up the louvres under the cowling as
well?

 No, I'm not going quite that far, I think a wash of black in the louvres
will suffice. I tend not to bother with undersides as much. 
The method Alberto used is to cut out the inspection panels and then cover
the bottom with thin sheet (I used .005" on mine). He then used clear decal
film to make the window itself. Might be a good use for the clear cig paper,
though I've never seen it over here so I will use decal film.
