[WWI] 25th Aero Squadron

I'm working on a 27" SE.5a and have chosen to do it in the markings of the 25th Aero Squadron, "Man with the Axe" marking.

Does anyone know if the SE.5as that ended up in US hands were the long or the short aileron version, two of four bladed prop and was the PC-10 the standard brownish hue or were they re-painted with a more greenish shade?

My reason for asking the question about the PC-10 is that the covering I want to use tends toward the greenish and I'd like to save the weight by not painting it. Saving even a fraction of an ounce makes a difference in performance on a model this small.
