Crayfish is what we have along our coast. Some people call them rock-lobster. TAsty
  Delicious
  Only problem is over-fishing means that they are now about theh size of large prawns

We have those too. Strangely, they are called ..... crayfish! ;-)

Kids (me too, in the day) catch them from creeks and billabongs using a 
piece of meat on a string and a small net
