"Has Radio Shack closed down a lot of stores in North America now? We used
to have them here in the UK (known as Tandy) but they all went several years
ago. Fortunately we still have Maplin's and they're almost as good. Always
found Radio Shack useful back when I was a Canuck."

Andy,
Yes, IIRC they ahd a re-structureing a few years back and closed down a
great number of stores. I never understood why a person would opne one here
just outside of Elkton, KY. A man that runs a very sucessful lumber and
building supply business did it as an expansion of that business. It didn't
fly. I remember going to Radio Shack all of the time when I was a teen, but
with the advent of electronic superstores and the like now I wonder who
shops there unless someone just likes building electronic things for a
hobby. I think they will go the way that most LHS will eventually go,
sadly.
Are you no longer a Canuck even though you live in the U.K. now?

Warren
