425/17 was all red and may well have been factory painted
152/17 was probably painted in the field and every picture I've seen its all red apart from the cross backrounds in white and then attempts to over paint them in red too.
Undersides were red cowls were red.
Richtofen flew other dr1's and those probably were not all red
Lastly f102/17 was as delivered streaked green over pale blue or cdl take your pick. The cowl was probably green along with the wheels. I say probably since Wolf was killed in this aircraft whilst richtofen was on leave and it really wasnt in service very long at all. Sheesh see what happems when you let the kids fly the plane whilst your away...... (sorry dry humour)

On Richthofen's all red tripe, was the bottom blue, are the struts painted
red, and finally was the cowl red?
