Replying to myself because probably nobody else will, I think
what Doug Carrick has done is add those wing pocket extensions 
that some early Spad 13's had to the Spad 12 wing. I think you can
see that on some of the photos, but I never thought of it before.
I must look at this more.

I think this kit was mentioned briefly a couple of months ago first. It
was 
again mentioned in the last week or two reference a review in Windsock. 
Generally speaking the kit follows the old Data file plans quite well.
These 
plans are now considered inaccurate so the kit was praised and panned at
the 
same time :-) This is of course from my memory of the conversation on
the 
list and could be faulty!
