can find. Copper wire tends to roll to a wider diameter than the dowel you
are using, so one a little thinner than the landing gear leg should by
tried. The problem is its copper color that must be covered, I think by a
very fine sprayed paint layer."

Well Ivan, since Michael is doing a Voisin in 1/72nd I would say the instead
of a dowel, he will have to use a needle or a very, very small piece of
brass rod.  All in all, a very good suggestion IMHO FWIW.
