I was doing a little research into the color and markings of Goring's black fuselaged Albatros D. III. The three references I have that have color profiles are the Osprey book Alb. aces, Kagero's Kaisers's Aces, and the profile publication. What I am leading up to here is that each are a little different. Looking at the photos in each reference you have to decide what is right. What this finally comes down to is this. When it your dealing with OT aircraft it still comes down to your own intereptation based on the interpretations others have made in there research they did to publish these books. There will always be disagreements as nothing is absolute. you all know what I mean like what color was Voss' F. I cowl. So my final word is do what you think is right and be happy. Just some thoughts I had.
