[WWI] Wood Grain Effect

Latest issue of Model Railway Journal (176) which landed on my door mat
this morning has a very interesting article by Martyn Welch on
simulating teak grain on wooden coaches. I was only able to scan it
briefly but the pictures showed superb results.
 
Martyn is something of a painting and weathering expert in the model
railway world but many of the methods he uses are equally applicable to
modelling in general
