[WWI] masking problems

I would recommend switching to airbrushing. I had a similar problem when I painted using a brush. I was never able to cure it, even resorting to rubbing down the raised edge.

Having said that, this is just a thought, it might have to do with teh way you remove the tape. Pulling it could cause the paint to "raise" and edge. It might be an idea to run a razor blade along the edge, then lift the tape on the paint side. I have never tried this so am unsure if it would work.

  hello everyone,

work is progressing on my eindecker.......
I'm having problems with my masking technique though, I have tried tamiya masking tape, post-its, and eduard ez masks but I just can't seem to avoid a raised "ridge" between the 2 colors when I pull the tape away. Can anyone suggest a good technique for avoiding this (I brush paint by the way) and the best way to deal with it when it happens.
Thanks a lot,

Joe
