[WWI] Scoring plastic question

Hi:

If you want to use the old biro trick to make ribbing etc. on plastic, what
surface do you use to make it? Obviously, it cannot be too hard, else the
biro won't make an impression on the plastic. If it's too soft, the biro
goes right through the plastic or the surface is too unstable to keep things
straight.

Still plugging away on the Spinne. Got the skis attached to the landing gear
legs and engine/seta frame last night - it's begining to take shape!!
Doesn't look like an aeroplane yet though - more like a children's climbing
frame.

Thanks,

Michael
