Dear All,
This thread on Flyboys is absurd. Since when has Hollywood or film in general done justice to World War One or Two aircraft? From the1926 WINGS to Pearl Harbor it's been one big travesty. They are made to make money $$$$$ NOT history! I couldn't believe all the hype about Pearl Habor after I saw it. Why would anyone follow a bomb down to it's detonation point. Sure you can do it now with smart bombs but not in WW II. And as for tracers during WW I , I've only heard of them being used against zepplins not your everyday dogfight. So come on just sit back and enjoy what you can in a rubbish film and forget the accuracy; it just ain't gonna happen. Blue Max and Von Richtofen vs Brown were crap history but still fun to watch.
Cheers,
Joel
