According to the RFC technical notes, the firing order of the Gnome

Monosoupape is 1 3 5 7 9 2 4 6 8,

Thanks Sanjeev..makes more sense to me. Don't feel I need to worry about
timings unless the ***''s OOB wear off!

You can use a photo of a stationary GM to establish valve positions.

Thats what I need JR.a good picture which allows me to discern rocker
angle etc and judge whether its worth the effort in 1:48. Anything
bigger and I feel it must be so, as you mention in 1/6th.

 

Thanks for all your help guys.Even the non serious which help me through
the AMS bouts! :-)
