[WWI] Flyboys & Piece of Cake

If I recall correctly Piece of Cake was about the Battle of France, not
the Battle of Britain

The flying sequences were memorable for being real as in real Spitfires,
real pilots.

However according to how retentive one is after a while the problems of
three or four blade props & later mark spits rather get lost against the
fact that no Spitfire Squadrons were deployed to France............but
if you don't know this and are confused over your marks then you are
less likely to get your anorak in a twist.

However once twisted the knots are unpickable!

I recall a film where a character took off in a 727, cruised at altitude
in a 707 and landed in a 737. (or similar sequence). Surely anyone could
see the difference without the help of an abacus I thought, my anorak
spliced, knotted twisted & woven. But no, alas not, especially the
continuity department.

We are on the whole (un)fortunately blessed with too much knowledge to
lock out the film world's take on reality and enjoy the entertainment.
