Is it just me, or did The Blue
Max seem like they were trying more for accuracy than this film does?
Yeah, right sure...Worn out Fokker D-VII's being replaced by Dr-I's in
lozenge no less.
Funny but the light clicked on...It's a movie, go and enjoy it for the
fantasy, and apparent technical achievement it will be. At least people
will be building red triplanes and silver biplanes again, and just maybe
like the path traveled by many of us it may lead them to learn what actually
happened.
BTW went to a community art festival yesterday and a local artist that
specializes in aircraft painting did his first OT work Voss' last flight.
The SE-5's had sweepback like a tigermoth, and the F-I had a YELLOW cowl!
When I asked why yellow he said he read up on the issue and that there
wasn't enough proof to make it red or yellow so he went with yellow. I
asked what about the Fokker factory green? He said he'd never heard of
that possibility.
So much for research.
Safe Sunday all
Hope all the Ozzies had great Fathers day!
