Hi Eric,
Nice work on the D5's so far... One thing I noticed (hope it is not too far along to correct) is that your Mercedes engines are in backwards, the round flat thing you have in the front of the engine should be at the rear of the engine, and the drive shaft you scratchbuilt on the other end should attach to the bottom of this round part. It is a decompression handle of some type and should be positioned between the machine guns so the pilot can reach it from inside the cockpit. There was a small handle attached to it that the pilot could move to release the compression or something similar. Not trying to discourage your work, just a little constructive help.
