Hahahaha
I am a Geochemist. I work now for Smith Bits. That is right, I pimp drill bits for a living. Years ago I was in the merchant navy, after leaving the navy. Sometime later I attended university. It was while I was at university that the Ramform Explorer called in at Cape Town. One of my mates from the MN days was acting as their agent and so I was lucky enough to have a loo over her while she was in Cape Town.
  Small bloody world.

  Hei,

I am the senior QC geophysicist (aka rock-hound or doodlebugger for those
familiar with the business) onboard the seismic survey vessel Ramform Explorer.

The company I work for is called PGS and is one of the majors in the survey
business,
I belong to the EAME division which covers Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
We are not an oil company, but we do the surveys for one or a group of oil
companies.

Usually I work five weeks onboard and then I get five weeks off at home,
so I get to travel a lot both when going to and from work and in my break
periods.

no-more!!!!!!!!!! My new area is East Africa. I get to cover everything from
the Sudan down to Madagascar. Maybe I will get to meet the penguins.

reason that I am unaware of, the Ivory Coast falls under East Africa as does
Namibia and South Africa.
