OH YEA, BABY! THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you just hate people who say that? First, I never said anything
to begin with, and then "this is what I'm talking about". Sheesh, talk
about improper English.

In any event, a package from Eduard. You know, Eduard, those modeling
gods. Yes, masters of everything 1/72nd (and that "other scale", too).

In that package was the "E-Day" Albatros D.V with markings of von
Beaulieu-Marconay, Jasta 15. This is a "plain jane" kit, with no
photoetch.

Also in the box was the "Flyboys" Fokker Dr.I. Not too shabby,
although those markings are pretty garish.

Oh, and some off topic stuff too.

Yes, a half-way decent box from Eduard.

But wait, what's at the bottom? Could it be????

YES!!!

No photoetch, and those markings from "Flyboys". Other than that it's
an awesome kit, one we've (or at least "I've") been waiting for, for
quite a long time. A decade, at least.

I haven't compared it to drawings yet - especially since I don't have
the Lafayette Escadrille book yet - but just looking at the kit on the
sprue, it looks awesome. Add some seatbelts and it can easily be built
"out of the box". No doubt the upcoming version with photoetch will be
superb.

Two wings - one with a central cut-out - and three cowls.

Stunning, simply stunning.

So, time to shove everything else off the workbench, and start it.

Oh, the kit I'm talking about?

The brand-spanking-new, 1/72nd Eduard Nieuport 17!

If you wait long enough, you'll get just about anything...
