I agree with you; it is far better to take posession of such a gem personally. I will see what my movements are and then plan on bringing it to South Africa to be shown at our modeling events here.
I am in Luanda at the moment and will be for the foreseeable future, but as soon as I know when I can get some leave, where I will be going, I will let you know

the contests or results, but in the whole idea of it being passed around the
world and seen by as many listees as possible, a sort of physical link
between virtual clubmates. Having the listees themselves decide on her
"mission" is part of that fun

And now is the time for the next caretaker to step forward. I only want to
take it to Telford this year if someone else wants to shepherd it for a
while, but I'm leaving tomorrow. I can take it anyway, but it's a long way,
so I'm trying to keep uneccessary trips down. Anyway wich to be pphysically
presented with Shane's Halberstadt? And if not, does anyone (such as Doug)
want it posted to them? Obviously, the second method is least preferable
because, although the packing method is pretty foolproof, I can usually
screw up most things if I try hard enough.Whoever takes it can then send it
on as usual or bring it back at Telford in 2007 if Shane wouldn't mind
taking it home himself. There is the third alternative - it retires and is
given back to Shane, now through the post or in a year if he makes it to
Telford.
I should have sorted this before but had a really nasty bug, flattened me
for a week. If I don't hear a definate answer from Shane or anyone else by
tomorrow midday I'll bring it with me. I can't post to the list after then
but can check my personal and list mail for instructions.
