As a member of the Racing & Record Aircraft SIG I'm appalled you would subject a fine aircraft like the GeeBee to such treatment! ;-) Couldn't you have given her some sort of fascist a/c to defile??
I had a girlfriend who expressed an interest in the hobby once so I gave her the worst kit in my collection which was an Aoshima Buffalo. It ended up in a lovely gloss yellow brush painted finish - wheels and all! A fitting end for a truly horrible kit....
