Nobody had their names on shirts in those days. Back then, everyone knew
who everyone else was! Names started in the late 1980s or 1990s. Perhaps
you've had a temporary memory lapse after you're over-achieiving team's
result this weekend. My cousin's a Palace fan and he was gutted!
