Spent a delightful day and a half with the ground-pounders in Hubbard
OH, near Youngstown, at the AMPS Nationals. Had a great time chatting
with this down-to-earth (no pun intended) bunch of armor modelers. The
show was held in a small WWIpart2 armor museum which was an inspiring
setting for some 530+ models of things that go on the ground; lots of
very fine work on display. Sad to say, only a handful of models were OT;
in fact, only two were vehicles, the others figures. I have to wonder
why so few modelers build armor from the Great War. While kits for WWI
armor and artillery are not exactly filling a lot of shelf space, the
tanks used on both sides are available in kit form, and there are kits
for a variety of trucks, armored cars, motorcycles, and a few nice
artillery pieces.

I've sent a few photos to Sanjeev for the list site; they should be up
shortly.

Karen
