Thanks to everyone for the very kind comments regarding the Fokker, they are
much appreciated. I don't have a lot of time to participate in the list on a
day to day basis at present but your positive comments on my builds are a
great encouragement to keep building.
A couple of specific comments:

Thanks Ross. I did actually play with an airbrush recently. I visited Pedro
and his delightful family during a business trip to Portugal, and while
admiring Pedro's models and downstairs modelling den, I had a go with his
airbrush. Just sprayed water, but I have to say it was kind of fun. But it
still seems like too much hassle to me, especially as I have nowhere to
spray. So I'll stick with the brushes for a while yet....

It was actually fairly straightforward. I put the darker colour on first and
then applied small "s" shaped squiggles using a lighter colour. The darker
colour was a 50/50 mix of Citadel Bolt Gun and Chain Mail, while the lighter
colour was Mithril Silver. I used a fine brush to apply the riffling effect,
just practice a bit on scrap plastic until it looks close to the original. I
kept the Squadron "Fokker Eindecker In Action" open at a cowling shot nearby
as I worked.
I also hoped you all noticed the improvement in the clarity of the photos -
I was using my new D-SLR with a macro lens that can stop down to f32, so no
blurring whatsoever.
Cheers,
Nigel R
