Hi All,
A quick swipe with a scalpel blade does the trick for me I've used this tecnique on 1/144 to 1/48 scales. I make a plan with the correct spacing on it and then using a smal engineering square cut each rib station with the knife. A double swipe will give the impression of rib tapes on thr larger scales. One swipe is usually sufficient on 1/144 and 1/72. Once the paint or lozenge is on it looks better than most commercial efforts. There are examples of this in some of my old IM articles but I'll have to look them up.
BTW; as for building the wing cell as a unit, just give it a try ONCE, what have you got to lose!?
Cheers,
Joel

I was considering using the Rosemont wing blanks to replace the overly thick
wings on a resin kit. Any recommendations about how to make the ribs? What
about thin strips of masking tape with Mr. Surfacer sprayed over them to
blend it in?
I suppose I could resort to the old biro pen and score them on from the
underside - anyone tried that?
Michael
