[WWI] Forbiding military modeling

Hi!
AFAIK the swastika was banned in Germany after the war to eliminate
it as a rallying symbol for the left over nazis. I remember that my
dad who was stationed in Germany in the fifties that these were
considered a real problem. Especially when was on guard around an
ammo-depot no chances were taken.
Today the swastika is allowed to be used in it historical context. So
strictly speaking they are allowed on musea displays. But it is
forbidden to use on toys and the German police and justice is quite
strict on that from what I heard/read. And as models are viewed upon
as toys....
I wouldn't call it revisionists as the law has no intention to deny
the nazist periode in Germany. In fact I believe revisionism and
particularly negationism is forbidden by law in many European countries!
