Hi All,
The other day I scratched a model using only a profile photo of the subject. Once I had the correct length from my scale rule I reduced the photo on a copier until it was to my prefered scale at the moment and then carried on. A little later I came across a two view plan of ther aircraft( in my case a Curtiss Wright Junior sportplane) and it all looked pretty accurate. See http://wingsandwires.piczo.com . It may not be 100% pefect but until I find some 3 view GA drawings it'll have to do. BTW, I couldn't live without my SAM Scale Rule!
Cheers,
Joel

For our modeling purposes, is pretty safe to plot a drawing from a
simplified perspective layout. If enough reference points are established,
there's a whole circumfrence of vanishing points in every subject, and that
may show the lens distortion in a graphic way.
Of course, this is unnecesary and way too laborious from a modeling point of
view, as the innacuracies of a common lens are almost irrelevant in this
case. Now if one would wish to build a flying replica...
