What material did you use for the rigging ?
My second question is about the landing wires. If I understand right,
it sounds like you rigged all the landing wires first, then turned the
model over and rigged the flying wires - yes ? How did you ensure
that the wing kept its dihedral while rigging the landing wires . No,
let me rephrase that - how did you ensure that the landing and flying
wires had the same tension for the same dihedral.
My third question is, how much tension did you apply to the rigging. I
know this is difficult to estimate, but as a guess, how much do the
wings flex without a visible sag in the rigging?
Did you pre-stretch the rigging line (a la Doc Morgan) ?
Ceramic rod or stainless wire, ofcourse, solve the problem, but, in my
opinion, 'non-functional' rigging is simply not feasible, especially
with such a heavy model as the 6B1 which, in addition to the heavy
wing, has huge solid resin floats.
