There was a CBC mockumentary years ago called the "the Canadian Conspiracy"
done by the SCTV guys as well as various other Canadian icons. The premise
was a US documentary about how Canadians have taken over the US
entertainment industry. They had Lorne Greene as the godfather of it all
smelling the roses in his garden "Lorne Greene. .. green card ...
coincidence?". As well as clips of a frozen Rideau Canal and the statement
that Canadians can be seen on the frozen river of their capitol which was
pronouced OH-TAO-WAH and that they have two seasons, winter and july. Joe
Flaherty was supposed to be the guy who spilled the beans on it all, and
everyone else refused to acknowledge they had ever met him. All the usual
conspiracy stuff.

It aired about 20 years ago, and I haven;t found too many people who saw it,
but it was hilarious at the time.
