"Offeg Alb. DIII" and the Special Hobby "Morane N"?

Terry,

The Morane is a very nice kit. The Albatros can be made into a nice model,
but is not a nice kit. The resin and PE content are good, but the plastic
is ultra-limited. So far I've trimmed everything out and done major cleanup,
but there's major mold mis-alignment and, more a problem, every part that
should have a straight edge at 90 degrees to the mold split line has
instead a little slope, like a sand castle made of sand that was too wet.
I'm also photographing this as I go along, and someone at the Aerodrome has
documented his build (sorry, you'll have to search for the location). But
I'm starting to move house, so I won't be of help for a long time. Anyway,
I'd certainly not recommend this kit as a relaxing build. It won't be.
Although when you do do it, I'm sure it will reward the effort. Personally,
if you want to make sure you finish it, go for the Morane - Windsock for the
previous month has a build of it by Ray Rimell, and it looks to be a winner.

HTH, IMHO etc. Paul T.
