Hello all,
i have just received an email from a gentleman, Mr Peter Sik, who is looking
for information about his great-grandfather, Johán Schön, who he believes
was a pilot in the autro-hungarian army airforce and flew a Aviatik D.I.

does anybody have a list with all the pilots of the austro-hungarian
airforce? on the web i`ve found only a list with the aces.

also, can you please identify all the aircraft in all the 3 following
pictures?

Picture1:
http://www.accende.net/dump/Picture1.jpg
seems to be an Aviatik D.I 138 series. any more details about the markings (
H - AA1)?

Picture 2:

could the aircraft in the foreground be a Phonix C.I with a modified seat
for the rear gunner? maybe a trainer due to the 2 seats?
the background aircraft seem to be some observation planes. maybe some
Albatros B.I?

Picture 3:

same airframes as the one in foreground in picture 2?

do you have any idea what the markings stand for? is H a civilian marking
for postwar Hungary?

any info about the pilot (especially), Johán Schön, is greatly appreciated.
are there some archives online where records of austro-hungarian pilots can
be studied? or archives at the austrian/hungarian national or military
archives?

thanks,
andi
