Some of you might remember the science fiction TV show "Babylon Five" from a 
few years ago.  I can't place the exact words, but one of the characters 
once noted that the universe abhorred it when he was contented; it always 
went out of it's way to destroy his contentedness.

Sorry to hear about that Mike.  I once did something similar, but with gray 
primer instead of magnesium.
