[WWI] Stretched sprue for rigging lines?

I also use thread, but instead of stretched sprue....something I have never 
mastered...I use ceramic wire. Very thin yet it stays straight over 1 foot 
in length. I use black colored thread, the same color as the wire. There is 
a link on the web page for the place that sells it.
