There is a product called Cerro-Bend available in plumber's supply
stores and building centres. It feels like lead in weight but turns to
liquid in hot water. Press a piece of aluminum foil into the cavity
where the weight is to go, pull it out and fill it with 'melted'
Cerro-Bend - then simply put the cooled, solid piece into the fuselage
(or wherever) as it is already shaped to fit. The real use of the
product is to prevent pipes collapsing when they are bent and is easily
removable with water but, like many products, has an unintended
modelling application.
