The only metallics I've sprayed is Alclad II aluminum, which doesn't leave a 
residue of bits, sprays like a dream and dries ready for masking in about an 
hour.  The only problem is that Alclad II doesn't do the stuff aside from 
silver, steel, aluminum type colours - no brass etc.
