SPAD 7 Five-Color Camouflage

The standard French five-color camouflage was introduced in October, 1917. While the colors were standard, their application was not. Variations exsisted not only between manufacturers (see the Four-Color page, for example) but also between series runs within a single manufacturer. The attached image is known as "Camouflage B-2" according to Project Butterfly. (References: Windsock, Vol. 5, No.1; Windsock Datafile #8, SPAD 7; C&C(US), Vol. 13, No. 4. Image by Bob Pearson .)
