The standard French five-color camouflage was introduced in October, 1917.
While the colors were standard, their application was not. Variations exsisted
not only between manufacturers (see the Four-Color page, for example) but also
between series runs within a single manufacturer. The attached image is known
as "Camouflage B-2" according to Project Butterfly. (References:
