We need to get an accurate year of birth. In the Army, Navy, RAF and Court records it appears as 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894 ...but not necessarily in that order He was educated in Zurich (School / College not named) Then Liverpool College and then Liverpool University Commissioned ASC 1913 - resigned commission June/July 1915, after being charged at irkham Police Court in June 1915, with theft of motorcycle, theft of cheques and theft of a handbag. Whilst charges were dismissed or withdrawn, Capt W G R Hinchliffe ASC applied to resign his commission Seems he was a bit of a lad ! Would make a good film !!
