Also mentions an AFC (in addition to a DFC) and 'The Ghost of Flight 401' book. However, 'ATT Supplement' contains Dave's account of the incident in which he lost his eye (as a direct quote from Hinchliffe - from the accident report ?), and corrects the 'The Ghost of Flight 401' ref noting that this should have been Fuller's 'The Airmen Who Would Not Die'. I can find no mention of the AFC. It isn't in my 1914-1920 bok of medals and awards. Can anyone shed any light on this ?
