The retouched ex newspaper photo David refers to of Hinchcliffe and Mackay also appears in Ralph Barker's book 'Great Mysteries of the Air', [Chatto & Windus 1966] facing p 102, above a decent picture of their Stinson Detroiter 'Endeavour'. Capt W.R. Hinchcliffe also appears on the left of a group picture in front of an AT&T DH9 at Schipol on p85 of Roy Allen's book 'Pictorial History of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines' [Ian Allan 1978]. There is even a happy smiling portrait of the Hon Elsie Mackay on p 92 of 'The Book of Famous Flyers', ed J.A. Mollison [Colllin's Clear-type Press] 1934. and there could well be more ......
